The company, Pegaso, was founded in 1991 by Guglielmo (Willy) Persico, in Genoa (Italy), basically at the same time that he started his adventure in Cape Town at the helm of Southern Wind Shipyard.

The link between Pegaso and Southern Wind is not simply chronological: in fact, Pegaso is the worldwide Marketing and Customer care representative of Southern Wind.

Ever since, Pegaso has been holding the commercial contacts, sharing the marketing strategies with Southern Wind and taking care of the main project management stages with a daily interaction with the owners, the designers and the production managers.

The Marketing&Sales Department of Pegaso, is also involved in the Brokerage & Charter activities with reference to SWS boats as well as from other boatyards.

Moreover, since 2003, Pegaso has been responsible for the Customer Care Service. The professional After-Sales Team looks after the warranties works with efficiency, also supplying a continuous assistance to any Southern Winds anywhere they are, even out of the warranty period.

Pegaso Team is currently made of 13 professionals, multi-lingual and all coming from qualified experiences in various nautical fields.

From 2010 and in the new offices on Piazza della Vittoria, Pegaso offers its know-how to Refit Project Management, not only for SWS yachts, but also boats built by other yards.
